Time will be of importance so please show up early. 4pm, Standard format, Basic lands only (Phase 2) There will be a 5$ fee to participate. Decks may include any card that is standard legal, except non-basic lands. Prize pool will be 2 Mutavault and 2-4 foil promo cards determined by the number of participants.

7pm, Uncommon Magic 60 card, standard format, uncommon cards only. First place will recieve store credit equal to 1/2 of the total tournament fees collected. Second and third place each recieve store credit equal to 1/4 of the total tournament fees collected. Store credit is to be used to purchase cards from singles stock (foil promo, rare, uncommon and/or common cards in stock). Common Magic 60 card, standard format, common cards only. First place will recieve store credit equal to 1/2 of the total tournament fees collected, second and third place will each recieve store credt equal to 1/4 of the total tournament fees collected. Store credit is to be used to purchase uncommon cards from singles stock. Watch for upcoming uncommons only tournament. Sunday, May 3rd 2009 @ 7:00PM The “How much is it worth to you?” tournament. Format: Alara Block, 60 card minimum. Standard pairing swiss tournament (No DCI points). There is no initial fee to participate. However, at the begining of each match, players must decide how much they are willing to spend, and will start each game of that match with the ammount of life they are willing to buy. Life is purchased at 5cents each in blocks of 5 life ($0.25). 10 life minimum ($0.50) and 40 life maximum ($2.00). The prize pool will be one each of every promotional foil card I have (12 in all) where top player picks the one he/she wants and it goes down the list from there. In addition there will be a prize given to the player who has the most 5-color spells or abilities played against him/her. Saturday, May 2nd 2009 The Alara Reborn Launch party! Stop in and see the new set, participate in the tournament and recieve a promotional foil card! Participation is 25$. Recieve 6 boosters with which to build a minimum 40-card deck. Buy in and deck building begins at 6pm, the tournament starts at 7pm. All participants recieve a promotional foil card Knight of New Alara:
The promo card features alternative art work differant than the image above. This card is promotional and may not be used in the tournament. In addition, there will be an optional prize pool. 5$ buy in, prize pool and break down will be booster packs dependant upon the number of people who choose to participate. There will be prizes for top player who choose not to participate in the optional prize pool. Seating is limited, 18 max, and on a first come first served basis. This Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th, will be sealed deck tournaments showcasing the soon to be released set of Alara Reborn. The actual release of Alara Reborn is April 30th, but here’s your chance to get in early and see/use some of the new cards. Each participant pays 25$ fee and recieves 6 boosters with which to build his or her deck. Basic lands will be provided free of charge for those who need some. There is a 40 card minimum deck size. Each participant also recieves a promo foil card:

The Chameleon Colossus is Japanese version. Total prize pool value approx $39. First place chooses which card he/she wants, then second place chooses, and third place recieves whatever card is left.

Incoming! You just have to get caught up to the current week by getting the packs you missed. All participants receive Obelisk of Alara foil promo card with their starter purchase. Several people have expressed an interest in D&D miniatures. We may be getting some of those in with our next order. Let us know if you’re still interested. If you’d like a good deal on Pirates, ask Sody what he can do for you. They might make a nice basket-stuffer for Easter, if you know a kid who would like making the boats or playing the game. |
